Houston publicist Sharon Dotson, owner of Bayou City Public Relations, has won two awards for outstanding work performed on behalf of clients in 2004.

The Houston chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awarded Dotson the Gold Excalibur Award in the Brand Management Tactics category. The Houston chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) recognized her for a communications campaign and awarded her the Bronze Quill Award of Merit.

This is the third year in a row that PRSA has honored Dotson and her agency. This is the second consecutive year IABC has recognized her agency’s work.

Dotson who is accredited in public relations, is a former newspaper reporter and magazine editor. She started Bayou City Public Relations in 2001 after a fifteen year career in corporate and nonprofit public relations.
