MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas Announces the 2006 – 2007 Season of New Venture Clinic

Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 21, 2006

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas announced today the 2006 – 2007 season of New Venture Clinic.

New Venture Clinic provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs at new business ventures to receive private, low-risk counsel from an advisory panel of business experts in relevant areas such as strategy, finance, law, marketing and sales. As such it’s a perfect opportunity to “fine-tune” a business plan before approaching investors or taking a product to market.

In an effort to reflect the flourishing entrepreneurial community in Texas, the format of this season’s clinics has been modified slightly from previous years. During the 2006 – 2007 season MIT Enterprise Forum will host ten start-up companies over the course of five industry specific clinics. The dates and associated industries of these clinics include:

Information Technology -> October 5, 2006

Energy -> November 2, 2006

Nanotechnology -> January 18, 2007

Life Sciences -> March 1, 2007

Open -> May 24, 2007

New Venture Clinic is open to all new technology ventures with a business plan. To be considered, follow the directions located at New Venture Clinic. Selection is made by the New Venture Clinic Leadership Team and is based on the clinic’s industry focus, the perceived potential of the start-up company, and the ability of the clinic to provide assistance.
