Nugget Markets Matching Fund Drive Raises Support for Japan Earthquake/Pacific Tsunami Relief

Woodland, Calif. (Vocus/PRWEB) March 21, 2011

From March 15 through April 1, all Nugget Markets and the Woodland, Cameron Park, and Vallejo Food 4 Less stores are accepting monetary donations at every check stand in partnership with the American Red Cross and its efforts to provide aid to victims of the Japan earthquake and Pacific tsunami. Nugget Market, Inc. will donate a matching contribution up to $ 5,000 to the American Red Cross.

While paying for their groceries, guests may make a tax-deductible monetary donation at the check stand, and that donation amount will be recorded on their sales receipt. All funds directly support those affected by the Japan quake and tsunami.

“The Nugget Market and Food 4 Less family of associates and our guests have come alongside the American Red Cross to help alleviate the effects of this disaster,” says Eric Stille, CEO of Nugget Market, Inc. “We’re committed to helping and to bringing hope and aid to those in need.”

Family owned and operated, Nugget Market first opened its doors in 1926, and the company has maintained a solid dedication to community and to helping those in need ever since. For more information on the American Red Cross and the Japan earthquake relief efforts, visit http://www.redcross.org.
